Chapters 6-11

In the closing chapters of God Believes in Love, Robinson lays out his commentary regarding the institution of marriage, the civil vs. theological aspects of marriage, the raising of children, and the fight for equal rights for LGBT couples. As I stated before, the purpose of this book review was to provide an analysis from a biblical perspective, and to go into debate on these closing chapters would be beyond this review’s scope.

The entirety of Robinson’s work is based on the premise that same-gender intimate sexual relationships are not condemned by the Bible, and furthermore Jesus Himself would be welcoming to the idea of same-sex relationships, marriage, and the raising of children. Given my analysis, I challenge the reader to decide for themselves whether or not the Bible meshes with Robinson’s suggestions.
